DEPRESSED ? Get over it.




Feeling sorry for yourself? ( Me too sometimes.) Don't know what's wrong. Can't afford a Shrink? Need a drink or a little pill?


It is not funny. Millions of people around the world are in the same situation as most of us are to some degree. Homeless, War, Starving, Killing, Slavery so many injustices are all around us. You and I cannot change it for the entire world. We can make changes and make it better for ourselves and those around us. When we do it will spread like fire.


This morning I woke up feeling sad, down, and sorry for myself. That feeling sucks. When this happens I am a real butt.

My big problem today? I cannot make photos of people in my studio.


Well, I might as well box everything up and forget it. After all this year I will be 69. This virus could last a few years and who knows what will come after that. Maybe I will be too old to make photos.


You are thinking that is silly that should little crap cannot be a problem. You say everything else is going great for you.


You see anything can trigger depression. Depression is a sickness and you can talk yourself into one and out of it at least to some degree.


As Pat says, you always have two sides. I think you have more.


What can you do when you are depressed and feel like you can no longer go on?


To start with maybe some of the following suggestions will help.


Always look on the bright side of life.


If you say and think something long and hard enough you can make it come true. Act on the outside as if everything is going to be ok. In time you will make it happen yourself.


Make a list of all of your blessings Read it in the morning and at night before you go to sleep.


Play good music that makes you feel happy.


Go for a walk.


Hard times bring out the best in people and the worse in others. Surround yourself with positive people. Do not talk with people that are telling you how bad things are. You know it all ready.


Read good books.


Stop watching the news all day.


Don't be on social media 22 hours a day.


Do not watch films that will show sad stories or killing and hate.


Don't let pride keep you from asking for help.


Stop feeling sorry for yourself.


Do what you have to do right now to survive your situation at any given moment.


Everything is a choice. You may not be able to change your situation at this very moment. However, you can change how you react to it.


Now that is my rambling story and I am sticking to it.
